Travis Scott tagged-teamed with Tyla and Vybz Kartel on his single, “PBT,” and now has a visual to accompany it.
The Nabil-directed video opens with a shot of the Tokyo skyline. Scott appears pressed in his hotel room as he prepares for a night on the town. A seductive Tyla is seen in a separate room primping and getting ready to unite with Scott. They meet on an open floor of their hotel before painting the town red. The party continues, and the scene switches to a day party in the streets. Kartel, aka the King of the Dancehall, blesses their union from afar and brings the high energy as they party into the night.
“Well, it’s that pretty brown round thing/ You should be mine, you should get a ring,” Scott sings on the chorus of the sultry record. “You know I’ll five-star entertain/ Baby, just tell me you feel the same.”
The Bbykobe-produced track appears on the Cactus Jack, chart-topping compilation album, JackBoys 2, and features the likes of GloRilla, Future, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, and more. “PBT” follows previous singles, “BEEP BEEP” and “DUMBO.”
Although “PBT” marks Scott and Kartel’s first collaboration, it’s the latest collaboration between Scott and Tyla, who joined forces for the 2023 remix of her hit single, “Water.”
One can’t help but wonder whether Scott plans on collaborating with more dancehall, afrobeats, and/or amapiano artists in the future. Only time will tell.
