Homeless ‘Ned’s Declassified’ Actor Gets Help Offer From ‘Mighty Ducks’ Star

“Mighty Ducks” star Shaun Weiss posted on social media Monday that he is offering help to Tylor Chase, a former child actor who appeared on the Nickelodeon series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.” Chase recently went viral after a social media video showed him homeless and living on the streets of Riverside, Calif.

“I have received many messages about [Tylor Chase],” Weiss said in a video shared to his Instagram. “I reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment.”

Weiss added, “All we need to do now is find him. I’m not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself.” He noted that if anyone can “get a face-to-face” with Chase, “please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday.”

Chase played Martin Qwerly, a talkative and intelligent middle school student, on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” throughout the show’s three-season run. His other credits include an appearance on “Everybody Hates Chris” and a role in the 2007 indie film “Good Time Max,” starring James Franco.

In the viral video of Chase, the person recording asks if he was on Disney Channel, to which the former child actor clarifies that he was on Nickelodeon. When asked the name of the show, he responds, “‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.’”

Weiss is best known for portraying goalie Greg Goldberg in the 1992 film “The Mighty Ducks,” along with its sequels “D2: The Mighty Ducks” and “D3: The Mighty Ducks.” He has been open about his sobriety journey, including sharing in 2022 that he celebrated his two-year anniversary of sobriety, writing the caption, “Recovery is possible.”
