‘Friends’ actor Pat Finn dies at 60; ‘the kindest, most joyful person in any room’

Comedian and actor Pat Finn, who played Monica’s boyfriend Dr. Roger on “Friends,” died Monday.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Finn died Monday night.

“He was the kindest, most joyful person in any room, and was surrounded by his incredibly close and loving family and friends,” a representative of the actor said.

Finn had been suffering from bladder cancer for about three years, according to a GoFundMe page set up a month ago.

Finn made appearances on “Murphy Brown,” “Seinfeld,” “The Goldbergs,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Ed” and “3rd Rock From the Sun,” among other shows.

His big screen credits included “Dude, Where’s My Car?” “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” “and ”It’s Complicated.”

On Instagram, Finn’s daughter Cassidy said her life is “forever changed because of him.”

“He taught me to be funny, positive, humble, to listen, to always try my best, to love, and to surround myself with the best people,” she wrote. “But most importantly—you taught me kindness. I’ve never met a single person who had a bad thing to say about my dad. I feel like the luckiest person in the world that I got to call you my dad.”

Finn was also an adjunct professor at University of Colorado and Marquette.
