Clint Eastwood’s Genre-Defining WWII Movie Gets Overtaken by Russell Crowe’s ‘Nuremberg’ at the Box Office

It’s been playing in theaters for over a month now, but the new World War 2 drama film Nuremberg hasn’t quite broken out at the box office. It has, however, set the stage for a terrific run on the PVOD market, thanks to excellent audience scores. Before it truly runs out of steam in theaters, the movie notched one last win by overtaking one of the greatest and most trailblazing WW2 movies of the 21st century: Clint Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima.
