Luke Littler is aiming to make it back-to-back World Darts Championship titles with a win this year. The 18-year-old will take on Mensur Suljovic in the third round on Saturday evening at around 9:30pm.
The world number one had a ten-day break between the first and second round after he beat Darius Labanauskas in straight sets on opening night. Littler then brushed aside debutant David Davies in three sets.
Now, he will aim to defeat Suljovic and continue on his quest for a second World Championship title. The teenage darts sensation made history in January by becoming the youngest ever winner of darts’ biggest prize.
During this historic triumph, Littler was supported by parents Anthony Buckley and Lisa Littler on the stage as he held the Sid Waddell trophy aloft. The star earned £500,000 for his efforts at the major tournament and handed some money to brother Leon after his win, who kissed him on the head afterward.
Littler’s act of generosity showed that he will continue to support those closest to him no matter how big he gets in the darts world. It’s not like the teenager is slowing down anytime soon when it comes to winning, having secured multiple major honours just this year.

In 2025, Littler won the UK Open, Belgian Darts Open, the World Matchplay, the Players Championship 32 and the World Grand Prix to name a few.
After reaching back-to-back finals earlier this year, Littler was asked if he believes he could break Phil Taylor’s remarkable record of 16 world titles.
And his answer was clear that only he stands in his way of achieving this unbelievable feat. Littler said: “If I want the 16, then I am sure I could possibly achieve it.

“If deep down, if I really want it, then with my ability, I’m sure I can achieve a lot more. But I know I’m in this for a long, long time.
“I just want to try and win as many titles as I can this year. I won 10 last year. I’ve started the year off with one. But just try and add on to that 10. Maybe win 10, 11 or 12 or even more titles.”
Littler will first have to get past Suljovic in the third round to get on his way to winning a second World Championship – only 14 more to go after that.
