Rainbow Six Siege X players get millions of free Renown and R6 Credits after presumable attack against Ubisoft
Rainbow Six Siege X players have been given millions of Renown and R6 Credits as well as exclusive in-game items after a presumable attack against Ubisoft.
At 9:49 PM CET, Ubisoft informed players about the next steps, promising the community that “nobody will be banned for spending credits received.” Instead, players should expect a “rollback of all transactions that occurred since 11 AM (UTC time).“
Ubisoft also explained that the ban ticker had been turned off in a past update, meaning “messages seen were not triggered by us.” At the same time, they also admitted that “an official R6 ShieldGuard ban wave did occur but is not related to this incident.”
Despite the complications, Ubisoft say they “are working very hard to make sure this is resolved and players can play again.”
ORIGINAL REPORT:
The French game publisher have yet to unveil an official statement. However, content creators linked to the game and players assume this is a result of an attack against the company.
After logging in Rainbow Six Siege X, players’ Renown and R6 Credit count doesn’t stop increasing. Additionally, the list of items given to players after this attack includes some of the most exclusive items in Ubisoft’s title, including various Glacier skins and even the Golden Clover.
At the time of writing, the current situation in Rainbow Six Siege X is extremely uncertain. We advice players who have already logged in Rainbow Six Siege X to not touch the skins and to not spend any Renown or R6 Credits. Moreover, we advice players who haven’t logged in Rainbow Six Siege X to not do so and wait until the situation is resolved.
