LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (WCAX) – Lake Placid will host free winter events this weekend for families and visitors.
The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism’s Campfire and Cocoa event begins tonight at Mid’s Park on Main Street. The event offers free winter treats for people shopping downtown or heading to the oval for skating.
“Local community members come out and join us for cocoa and smores and some nice music and it is a really nice atmosphere. Some say it is a really nice atmosphere. I do believe they’re right,” said Mary Jane Lawrence of the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism.
