Seahawks-49ers injury report: Seattle adds another lineman to injury list

The Seattle Seahawks may have injury question marks at left tackle beyond just Charles Cross.
Seattle held a Tuesday walkthrough instead of a normal practice for their Saturday night tilt with the San Francisco 49ers. With the NFC West title and No. 1 seed at stake, there could be a possible issue along the offensive line for the Seahawks. Charles Cross was estimated as a non-participant, which is not surprising given his hamstring injury was expected to cost him the remainder of the regular season. What is new is backup tackle Josh Jones showing as a DNP with ankle and knee injuries. Seattle did sign rookie undrafted free agent Amari Kight to the active roster, so he could be next in line in case the Seahawks have to go to left tackle number three.
Wide receiver/return specialist Rashid Shaheed was estimated as limited as he goes through concussion protocol. This isn’t really super valuable information until we hear the magic words, “Rashid Shaheed has cleared concussion protocol,” and it’s hardly a lock that it’ll happen this week.
On the plus side, safety Coby Bryant was considered a limited participant as he recovers from a knee injury, which is an upgrade from his DNPs throughout last week. Everyone else on the injury report was considered a full participant.
Here’s the full report for both teams, keeping in mind the 49ers also held a walkthrough:
Christian McCaffrey is dealing with back tightness, but otherwise it doesn’t sound like it’s a serious issue. Trent Williams is the name to watch given how early he hurt his hamstring against the Chicago Bears last Sunday.
A normal practice will presumably happen on Wednesday, followed by practice on Thursday before game designations are announced.
