Champ Bailey recalls playing with Broncos great Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning can get credit for turning the Denver Broncos into a perennial Super Bowl window from 2012 to 2015. Although Manning led the Broncos to only one Super Bowl title, he helped them reach two Super Bowls and four playoff appearances. And he got there with a bit of help from his friends.

Champ Bailey, who played his last 10 years with the Broncos, enjoyed Manning during the last two years of his career. While speaking with Rich Eisen in a recent interview, Bailey discussed what it was like playing with Manning. And needless to say, Bailey enjoyed him just as much on the field as he did off

Bailey highlighted that one of the things that added to Manning’s aura was his humor, noting that he goes out of his way to watch Peyton & Eli’s “ManningCast” on Monday nights. However, on the field, he loved how much Manning brought in much-needed leadership to the locker room and organization. Bailey had nothing but good things to say about The Sheriff.

Bailey was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. Manning joined him in Canton in 2021.
