FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday afternoon.
Robinson, who was named to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games last week, was instrumental in the Falcons’ 27-24 victory against the Los Angeles Rams (11-5) on Monday night. He set a new career high with 195 rushing yards, the most by a Falcon in a single game since Michael Turner ran for 208 yards in 2008, and finished with 229 total yards and two touchdowns. Robinson’s 93-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was the longest rush in Falcons history and the longest by any NFL player this season.
On that 93-yard score, Robinson surpassed Christian McCaffrey for the most career yards by any player under the age of 24. Robinson, who will turn 24 after the season, finished Monday night’s game with 5,605 career scrimmage yards, ahead of McCaffrey’s 5,443.
That wasn’t the only notable record Robinson broke against the Rams. On the very next touch after his breakaway touchdown, Robinson left defenders scrambling as he picked up the 31 yards that made him the Falcons’ all-time record holder for scrimmage yards in a single season. With one game remaining, Robinson has 2,255 scrimmage yards—1,445 on the ground and 810 as a receiver. The third-year back entered Monday night needing 151 yards to break William Andrews’ longtime record of 2,176 scrimmage yards in 1983. He reached those 151 yards and then some on the first play of the third quarter.
