In the absence of any explanatory context, that looks a very bizarre decision from Daniel Farke to leave out Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a man who has scored seven goals in his last six Premier League games.
The Leeds manager, who has selected a much more defensive line-up to the one that got a draw away to Sunderland, is perhaps keeping the former Everton striker’s patchy injury record in mind.
That is the only reason I could imagine why Farke would leave the Premier League’s most in-form striker out of his starting XI.
