What security measures will be in place?

“Keeping the attendees safe is the number one priority,” said Deana Ivey, CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, the organization coordinating both the Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve events.

Ivey said her team and various local groups are ready to ensure the celebration remains both entertaining and secure.

“There will be about 500 security personnel on site. That’s private and Metro PD. And we have fencing all around. We have mags you have to go through. So there are a lot of security measures that we work on all year, and we continue to tweak every year to make it even more secure,” Ivey said.

The event will feature six entrances for attendee access.

Organizers recommend using rideshare apps or designated shuttles, which have specific drop-off areas. Attendees are asked not to bring bags and to dress warmly for the outdoor celebration.
