Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony has confidence in Paul George, Sixers

A healthy of the Philadelphia 76ers will have as good a chance as anybody to come out of the Eastern Conference due to the talent that’s on this roster. Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Paul George will give this group a fantastic chance of contending in the wide-open East.
The Sixers will need George to continue playing this well as the No. 3 option for this group. That’s a tough transition for any star in this league as George has gone from being the No. 1 guy and constantly having the ball in his hands to being more of a catch-and-shoot guy at this stage.
Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, and George’s former teammate with the Oklahoma City Thunder, knows how hard that transition can be as he had to make it in his career. With that being said, he has a ton of confidence that George and the Sixers can get the job done:
We sat here and we talked about PG being that third option on the team and we had a debate is PG the best third option out there in the NBA? And if they’re playing this way and PG continues to find his way—because I know going from a guy who needs the ball in his hands to just gotta spot up and get the ball, it’s a tough transition to make, but I think PG is coming along. I think his health is getting better. And if Joel is playing like that Maxey and those guys playing and Kelly Oubre (Jr.) comes back, Philly is a tough out in the playoffs.
George is averaging 16.1 points and shooting 40% from deep while working through different injuries. He has played well in his role for Philadelphia and the Sixers will continue to work and grow chemistry for this group as time moves on.
