Corriedale wedding horror ahead as Carl loses control

Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street fans can expect a jaw-dropping moment next week, as Debbie Webster’s dream wedding turns into a complete nightmare. Her drunk and dangerous brother Carl spins out of control at the wheel – with Debbie in the car beside him.
Speeding away from his family and all OF his responsibilities, intoxicated Carl’s world is crumbling following the death of his mother Elaine. He puts his foot down, despite Debbie’s urgent pleas for him to stop – but their lives are about to change in an instant, just in time for the thrilling Corriedale crossover episode.
“Debbie doesn’t want Carl to leave the wedding!” reveals Sue Devaney, who plays the new bride. “He’s also drunk, so she doesn’t want him to drive off. She jumps in the car thinking he won’t go anywhere if Debbie’s in the car, but he carries on driving too fast…”
Debbie’s wedding day bliss transforms into a horror filled night that she won’t forget, when tensions between her feuding brothers spiral out of control. Having ordered Carl and Kevin to curtail rivalry, Debbie has no idea that Abi is secretly orchestrating her lover’s downfall.

After discovering that Carl’s big bag of stolen cash is missing from his car, Abi rightly predicts that he’s planning to do a runner. When she confides in Kevin, his rage knows no bounds and he plots to destroy Carl in his wedding speech. But will he risk ruining his sister’s big day?
“In Debbie’s eyes, Carl can’t do anything wrong,” points out Sue. “She loves her brother, and love is blind. Debbie’s not that far down the line that she doesn’t see things, she’s letting him get away with little bits.”
Debbie’s misguided trust in Carl has seen him successfully siphon cash from her business behind her back, and now she’s thrown into the passenger seat of danger when she jumps into his car.
Drunk and dishevelled, Carl hits the road, determined to get away from Weatherfield for good, unrepentant that he’s robbed his unwell sister. He’s also blaming her for not letting him know that his dying mum was trying desperately to contact him.
