J.J. McCarthy on Hand Injury & Week 18 Game vs. Packers

Which he’s certainly done.
Jordan Addison spoke highly of McCarthy’s mindset and work ethic even through adversity.
“He wants to be out there, and he wants to win more than anything,” Addison said. “Every time he is out there, he’s making sure he’s doing everything to help the team win.”
If McCarthy plays in Sunday’s Border Battle, it will mark his 10th NFL start — a significant benchmark along his development journey.
“With some of the stuff he’s been able to do, thinking back to the Dallas game, moving the team in the first half of the Giants game and the Commanders game. I mean, a ton of stuff during this win streak has been about stacking plays, stacking for our team, just positives of complementary football, finding a way to win by any means necessary — every single game,” O’Connell said. “Credit the players, that’s what they’ve done. And J.J. has been a huge part of that and has continued, you know, looking at starts 7, 8 and 9, and we’d love to get him another one, but obviously only if he’s medically cleared and can 100% do his job.”
