A body was found in the Santa Ana River in the Fountain Valley area on Thursday, officials said.
The Orange County Fire Authority was initially called to 2500 Harbor Boulevard for a water rescue just before noon. A 911 caller reported a person in the riverbed yelling for help.
When crews got to the scene, the body was located 2 miles down river.
Video from AIR7 showed crews setting up to retrieve the body from the river.

The OCFA swift water rescue team was able to hoist the body from the river and turn it over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials said the circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown.
