Williamson came into the night with averages of 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 53.9% from the field in 17 games.

With the loss, the Pelicans dropped to 8-25 in 33 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.
They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak (and 6-14 at home).
Following New York, the Pelicans will play their next game on Wednesday when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

On the other side, the Knicks improved to 23-9 in 32 games, which has them as the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak (and 8-2 over their last ten).
