Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones has been missing from our TV screens as The One Show takes a break from its early evening weekday slot for the festive season.
But the 48-year-old has been enjoying some precious family time in husband Charlie Thomson’s home country of New Zealand along with their three children.
And on New Year’s Eve she returned to Instagram to share an important personal milestone – the 10th anniversary since she and Charlie tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Cardiff Castle.
Along with beautiful throwback photos from their special day and a recent snap, she wrote: “Today, we celebrate 10 years as husband and wife. Then and now.
“We married in the northern hemisphere so it was only right to mark a decade, with our children in the southern hemisphere. It’s all about compromise (laughing emoji).
“We are so grateful to our family and friends who made that day extremely special and continue to make life a lot of fun!”

Fans rushed to support her offering their congratulations on her milestone anniversary and a few hours later she posted another photo of herself in a stunning black strappy dress as she wished her followers all the best for 2026.
She said: “The clock has already rolled into 2026 in NZ but just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year when it comes. Thanks you for all your encouragement and support this year. I hope there’s a wonderful year waiting around the corner for you all x.”
Alex often shares a glimpse into her family life on Instagram including details of their recent move from London to the countryside and days out with Teddy, Kit and Annie.
She’s also opened up about husband Charlie’s health struggles. She previously divulged that Charlie had experienced a “rough period” throughout 2023.

On a podcast discussion, she recounted witnessing Charlie “fall apart” as he dealt with Lyme Disease and viral meningitis. During her conversation on Gabby Logan’s podcast The MidPoint, a relieved Alex reported that Charlie is “in a much better place now”.
She explained her motivation to podcast host Gabby: “I think what drives me is the fact that we have got three young children, and I feel, for them, I need to do the best to preserve myself.”
Alex went on to say: “Mum and dad have always been healthy, growing up we’ve always eaten a balanced diet, but more so, Charlie and I are focused on that.
“He also wasn’t very well last year,” she mentioned, prompting Gabby to inquire: “How is he now?”
To this, Alex replied: “He’s good, yes. He’s in a way better place now to where we were a year ago but diet has played a huge part in that. We always eat relatively well but he’s quite into nutrition.”
The One Show returns to BBC One on Monday, January 5 at 7pm
