‘The Pitt’ Star Katherine LaNasa Puts a Bow on the 2026 Critics Choice Awards

Get ready, Pittheads! Season 2 of The Pitt is almost upon us, and Katherine LaNasa is celebrating in style at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. The actor, nominated tonight for best supporting actress in a drama series for her role as charge nurse Dana Evans, won an Emmy for her work in Season 1 back in September.

“Oh, goodness. The whole thing has been an embarrassment of riches,” LaNasa tells Vogue of her Critics nomination. “I’m the kind of gal that tries to put these announcements out of my mind, so I am usually the last to know!” A particular highlight? Sharing the moment with castmate Patrick Ball, who is nominated for best supporting actor in a drama series. “The shining moment would definitely be calling Patrick Ball and having a little scream of excitement with him,” she says. “I’m super proud of him.”

As for her own plans to cap off the evening, LaNasa has one specific end goal: “I’m hoping to have a burger with my husband at the Polo Lounge,” she says.

It seems there are some fans of The Pitt over at Louis Vuitton; the house jumped at the chance to dress LaNasa for the occasion. “When my stylist, Tara Swennen, informed me that Louis Vuitton had offered to dress me, I was completely over the moon,” she says. LaNasa was drawn to a red dress with an asymmetrical, draped top, each shoulder outfitted with an oversized bow. “Being a Southern girl at heart, I had to pick the one with the bow,” she says.

Ahead of Season 2’s premiere on January 11, LaNasa teases what we can expect from Dana, who considered leaving nursing at the end of last season after she was assaulted by a patient. “Dana is still reeling from the workplace violence she experienced, and trying to find purpose and balance, and maybe even a few boundaries,” she says. “It definitely gets messy.”
