Fast-food giant McDonald’s has announced a major shake up to its menu – introducing one item that customers have been requesting for a long time. In its new ‘secret menu’, McDonald’s will now offer a Big Mac Sauce to customers across the UK.
It comes as the burger restaurant announces they are turning ‘customer hacks’ into an official secret menu, creating some wacky combos such as a Surf N’ Turf burger which consists of beef and fish as they merge together the classic Cheeseburger and the Fillet O Fish.
Other items include the return of the Chicken Big Mac, which offers two chicken patties instead of beef alongside its distinctive Big Mac sauce. And also on offer is an Apple Pie Mini McFlurry – which is a combo customers have been putting together themselves for years.

But the one that customers are talking about is the Big Mac Sauce, which costs 20p for a pot, and will be available from 5 January for a limited time only. Customers have been asking for this for the past few years – and now their prayers have been answered.
Over in a thread on Reddit, user CrazyCoffeeClub wrote: “McDonald’s, could you please make honey mustard, Big Mac sauce, chipotle southwest, sweet onion, or spicy mayo dips?”, to which one person replied: “We had big Mac sauce in pots very briefly. For some reason McDonald’s UK does not change around or add new dips.”
Another person wrote: “Bro I’d pay a quid on top of my meal for a pot of big Mac sauce. Why don’t they do it? Other countries do.” Well luckily, now they can get the Big Mac Sauce for the gentle price of 20p.
Along with the other items on the secret menu, the Big Mac Sauce will be available from 5 January for a limited time only.

After the announcement of the new secret menu, Ben Fox, senior vice president, chief marketing officer at McDonald’s UK & Ireland, said: “We’re really happy to now make The Secret Menu official in the UK&I, turning fan-favourite hacks into reality. Some of these mash ups shouldn’t work, but they are weirdly good and need to be tried to be believed.
“Others are more natural combinations that are simply delicious! This limited-time line-up celebrates the creativity of our customers that we see every day on social media.”
