Patrick Warburton to reign as Bacchus LVII in 2026 parade

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Actor Patrick Warburton will reign as Bacchus LVII on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Krewe of Bacchus will celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary at this year’s parade.

Warburton is known for playing David Puddy on Seinfeld and voicing Joe Swanson in Family Guy. His other television roles include The Tick, Rules of Engagement and A Series of Unfortunate Events. Movie credits include Men in Black II, Get Smart and Ted.

He has also voiced characters in The Emperor’s New Groove, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and The Venture Brothers. Warburton is currently voicing Mayor Winddancer in Zootopia 2.

Warburton and his wife Cathy Jennings have raised more than $40 million for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through their annual golf tournament “The Warburton,” now in its 16th year.

The 2026 parade will feature 32 floats depicting American history, including The Roaring 20’s, Pioneering Female Americans, WWI and WWII, and National Parks. The parade will debut Baby Whoppa, the newest signature float.

The krewe’s 1,700 riders will throw more than 200 custom throws and 250,000 pairs of socks with 47 different designs.

The Bacchus Parade rolls Sunday, February 15, at 5:15 p.m., following the traditional uptown route. Previous celebrity kings include Shaquille O’Neal, Will Ferrell, Nicolas Cage and Andy Garcia.
