Delbert Avenue shooting | Man killed in Durham New Year’s Day shooting identified

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — A man killed in a Durham shooting that happened on New Year’s Day has been identified by police.

At 12:08 a.m., Durham police responded to a shooting in the 4200 block of Delbert Avenue.

When officers arrived they found 3 men who had been shot.

Breon Currie, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other men were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
