The list of schools closed in Wales due to adverse weather conditions on Tuesday is extensive

Many schools were forced to close on what was expected to be the first day back after the Christmas holidays due to snowfall across Wales on Monday. With the cold and wintry conditions continuing however, multiple councils have announced that schools will remain closed on Tuesday, January 6, due to snow and ice.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place until 11am on Tuesday, with more snow also forecast later this week. Some school grounds were covered in snow on Monday with car parks, playgrounds and surrounding areas being deemed too dangerous to allow staff and pupils to attend.
Due to the freezing weather and more snow flurries forecast overnight, many schools have made the decision to remain closed on Tuesday.
