A heartbreaking scene in Douglas has thoroughly destroyed one of the village’s most iconic landmarks.
Firefighters in Douglas were called to the scene after what they describe as a structure fire broke out at around 8:15 on Monday evening, and would quickly call in support from neighbouring communities as the size of the fire quickly grew, including calls for pumper and ladder trucks from both Renfrew and Whitewater Region.
The building was destroyed in the fire, however the owners of the establishment says everyone was able to make it out safely.
