‘Gades fight for future as former Scorchers star faces old club

Jason Behrendorff will walk back into his former home venue for the first time since leaving the Scorchers as he fights for the Renegades’ future.

The Renegades are in win-or-go-home territory, and are coming off an impressive win against the Stars which will keep their slim hopes alive.

And the early fortune went their way, as the Renegades won the bat flip and elected to field.

They must keep that momentum rolling against a hot Scorchers side which has won three straight games and sit second on the table.

The Scorchers have impressed with the bat, passing 200 in three games, and will welcome Finn Allen back for tonight’s clash. Jhye Richardson will also return.

Sam Elliott has been named to debut for the Renegades, while Ollie Peake will play his last game before international duty.

First ball at 7.15pm (AEDT).
