Chris Richards is fit enough for a place on the bench but won’t be able to start, according to boss Oliver Glasner.
Aston Villa will monitor centre-backs Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings, both of whom are nearing returns following injury lay-offs.
Mings has not played since 1 November while Torres has been sidelined for six matches.
