Cade Cunningham talks Detroit Pistons win vs Knicks in playoff rematch at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
Cade Cunningham has been downgraded to “out” for the Detroit Pistons game today against the Chicago Bulls at Little Caesars Arena.
Cunningham (right wrist contusion) previously was listed as “probable” to play in the 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Jan. 7, but was downgraded to “questionable” a few hours before game time. It will be his fourth absence this season. His next chance to play is Saturday night at home against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Pistons injury report, as of 6:15 p.m., does have good news as well: Caris LeVert (left knee tendinopathy) will return against the Bulls after missing four consecutive games. Duncan Robinson (left calf contusion) will also play.
The Pistons (27-9, first in Eastern Conference) will still be without Tobias Harris (left hip sprain) and Jalen Duren (right ankle sprain). Harris is set to be re-evaluated within the next two weeks after missing four games, and Duren is within a week of his re-evaluation date after missing two games.
The Bulls injury report lists point guard Josh Giddey “out” (hamstring strain), center Jalen Smith “out” (concussion) and center Zach Collins “out” (toe). Starting guard Coby White (right calf management) also was downgraded to “out” on the team’s 6:15 p.m. injury report. Chicago is 17-19, ninth in the East.
