‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 18 Premiere Sets Viewership Record At MTV

RuPaul’s Drag Race just set another viewership record with the Season 18 premiere on MTV, delivering the highest season premiere rating and share in the show’s history among P18-49.
The drag competition delivered double-digit growth versus its Season 17 premiere in ratings and share, according to the network. The series was up 17% on P18-49 rating (0.674 vs. 0.577) and up 32% on P18-49 share (3.62 vs. 2.75). Season 18 was also the top cable entertainment telecast of the day among P18-34 and P18-49.
RuPaul’s Drag Race also made waves on social media with the Season 18 premiere generating 24M views (+6% vs. S17) and 1M engagements.
The first episode of the new season featured guest judge Cardi B in a season that will also feature guests, including All’s Fair’s Teyana Taylor, music producer Benny Blanco, Project Runway’s Law Roach, Jamal Sims, Dove Cameron, among others.
RuPaul’s Drag Race features mainstay judges RuPaul Charles, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, and Ts Madison.
The queens competing in the new season are Athena Dion, Briar Blush, Ciara Myst, Darlene Mitchell, DD Fuego, Discord Addams, Jane Don’t, Juicy Love Dion, Kenya Pleaser, Mandy Mango, Mia Starr, Myki Meeks, Nini Coco, and Vita VonTesse Starr.
