‘Heated Rivalry’ Star Connor Storrie To Visit TODAY in First Morning TV Appearance

Connor Storrie is coming to Studio 1A.

The “Heated Rivalry” star will make his morning show debut Jan. 14 on TODAY, stopping by 30 Rock to discuss the hit hockey romance drama series that has taken the world by storm since its U.S. premiere Nov. 28 on HBO Max.

His live interview, happening on the 3rd Hour of TODAY, will come two days after he makes his late night debut Jan. 12 on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” He also announced the nominations for SAG-AFTRA’s Actor Awards Jan. 7 alongside “Abbott Elementary” star Janelle James.

Storrie stars in “Heated Rivalry” as Russian hockey phenom Ilya Rozanov, who plays for Boston’s team in a fictionalized professional hockey league. Well before his rookie season, he meets young Canadian star player Shane Hollander, played by fellow breakout actor Hudson Williams, and they strike up a years-long romantic dalliance, which is chronicled over the show’s six episodes.

Like Storrie, Williams just made his late night debut, appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Jan. 7, sparking fan fervor and crowds in and around 30 Rock for his appearance.

While “Heated Rivalry” Season 1 wrapped with its Dec. 26 finale, the show is already renewed for Season 2. Canadian streamer Crave announced the show’s renewal Dec. 12.

“Heated Rivalry” is based on Rachel Reid’s hockey romance novel of the same name, which first published in 2019. Shane and Ilya’s love story continued in her 2022 novel, “The Long Game.”
