Mali will face Senegal on Friday, January 9, in a match counting for the quarter-finals ofthe Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).

Both teams reached this stage of the competition at the expense of Tunisia (3-2 on penalties) and Sudan (3-1), respectively.

The Eagles are aiming for their first ever title in Africa’s premier competition.

In the past, the Malian national team has played six AFCON quarter-finals, boasting a record of five victories and just one defeat.
