‘They have everybody’: Baseball world reacts to Dodgers’ Skubal deal

Major League Baseball’s newest Evil Empire has its newest addition.

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued to collect all-stars late Saturday night by reportedly acquiring ace left-hander Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers for a package of prospects.

Skubal, the two-time reigning AL Cy Young winner, will join the Dodgers in their pursuit of a third consecutive World Series title before hitting free agency this off-season.

The 29-year-old ace has a 2.79 ERA this season and has racked up 116 strikeouts in 96.2 innings for the Tigers, who have struggled to a 52-58 record after making the playoffs in each of the last two years.

Skubal adds to an uber-talented Dodgers roster that already features the likes of marquee additions Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Edwin Díaz, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Kyle Tucker and Blake Snell.

Saturday’s news sent the baseball world into a frenzy as the 69-42 Dodgers only added to their embarrassment of talent riches once again. Here are some of the best reactions:
