WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump says he’s never happy, never satisfied, but somebody gave him a “Happy Trump” pin to wear on his lapel.

He was sporting the new ornament next to the customary American flag pin during a White House discussion Jan. 9 of resuming Venezuelan oil production after the U.S. military’s removal of Nicolas Maduro, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, and possibly taking control of Greenland “whether they like it or not.”

But the shiny new pin was an eye-catcher during the otherwise somber meeting. Asked by a reporter what it was, Trump said it was a “Happy Trump” pin, to laughter in the East Room among officials of the oil industry and administration.

“Somebody gave me this. You know what that is? That’s called a ‘Happy Trump,’” Trump said, holding out his lapel for the cameras.

“And considering the fact I’m never happy, I’m never satisfied, I will never be satisfied until we make America great again,” Trump added. “But we’re getting pretty close, I’ll tell you what.”
