Arsenal could bolster their ranks in the January transfer window after Mikel Arteta disclosed at the end of December that the Gunners are open to bringing in new faces this month – if their injury woes persist.
They currently have several players sidelined due to injuries and Arteta is eager to ensure his squad isn’t left depleted heading into the latter part of the season. With this in mind, the Gunners have been linked with a host of players, should they decide to delve into the market and splash out.
On the field, the Gunners take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday. They’ve clinched victory in their last five top-tier matches since their loss to Aston Villa in December and currently sit six points clear at the summit of the table. Here’s all the latest news from the Emirates.

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Yan Diomande ahead of a potential summer move.
The 19-year-old forward is anticipated to leave RB Leipzig at the close of the season, following an impressive stint in the Bundesliga this term, reports the Mirror.
However, as per The Athletic, a hefty £86million might be needed to secure Diomande’s services this summer. Leipzig have no plans to let the Ivory Coast international depart during the January transfer window, and it would take a substantial offer for them to contemplate a summer sale given he has until 2030 remaining on his contract.
Diomande made the move to Leipzig in a £17.3million deal from Leganes last July and has since shone in the Bundesliga, netting six goals and providing three assists in 14 appearances this season.
He’s currently one of the most coveted young talents in Europe, with Manchester United and Tottenham also reportedly interested.

In other news, Arsenal are said to be eyeing up Blackburn Rovers’ young star Igor Tyjon.
The 17-year-old has been on the Gunners’ radar for a while, including over the summer, but they’re now ready to seal the deal this January.
Tyjon, who has made three senior appearances for Blackburn, has turned down a professional contract from the Championship side. While no fee has been agreed yet, it’s certainly a transfer saga to keep an eye on this month.
The Sun reports Arsenal had multiple offers exceeding £1m turned down by Blackburn previously.
