Notably there is no Teden Mengi for Luton Town with the defender the subject of transfer speculation although boss Jack Wilshere has said the defender has picked up a muscle injury.
His omission is one of seven changes made by Wilshere with Josh Keeley replacing the benched James Shea in goal and new Manchester City loan signing Emilio Lawrence making his debut.
Christ Makosso, Mads Andersen, Lamine Fanne, Gideon Kodua and Nahki Wells also start.
Among the substitutes are Revell Walters, George Saville, Cohen Bramall, Jerry Yates and Shayden Morris.
Dan Sweeney, Jordan Houghton and Jovan Malcolm all drop to the bench as Stevenage make three changes from the side which drew with Plymouth on New Year’s Day.
Into the starting Xl come Dan Kemp, Jordan Roberts and Charlie Goode.
