Byron and Hinshelwood Shortlisted for December Awards

In November 2025, Club representatives claimed both individual accolades, as ‘Hinsh’ was named Manager of the Month and current National League South top goalscorer Brad Dolaghan claimed the Player of the Month after a goal-laden period.
For the final month of 2025, the Worthing manager has been recognised for his efforts once again, with the possibility of the 41-year-old receiving the award for consecutive months. In the league, it was another flawless month in charge of the Reds, as the former York City manager guided his side to four victories in four matches in the National League South.
The Rebels edged out Ebbsfleet United in a 2-1 triumph on the road before scoring at will and keeping clean sheets against Farnborough and Eastbourne Borough. The calendar year concluded with a thrilling 3-2 success over rivals Dorking Wanderers in front of a record-breaking crowd of 3,735 at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
Since Hinshelwood returned for his third spell at the club, Worthing have won 12 of 14 league matches – a run of form that has seen the team from Woodside Road rise to the top of the table.
Alongside our management team, defender Toby Byron has also been selected for the shortlist of a monthly prize.
Toby Byron was instrumental for the Reds during December and has been rewarded for a stellar month both defensively and offensively. All-encompassing displays in all four league matches last month helped the West Sussex outfit pick up maximum points.
The left-sided defender was a key part of the defence that recorded clean sheets against Eastbourne Borough and Farnborough, with Byron scoring the second goal in the latter. In fact, his strike from the edge of the box against Spencer Day’s side has also been nominated for our Official December Goal of the Month. Our number 18 provided a creative spark against Eastbourne and Dorking Wanderers, with inch-perfect assists in both clashes around Christmas.
The 24-year-old is searching for his second accolade of December, after already being named the Worthing FC Supporters Association Player of the Month earlier on in the week.
A full list of nominees for both awards can be found below. The panel for December is DAZN’s Aaron Mclean, Matt Badcock from the Non-League Paper and Tom Scott from the Enterprise National League.
