Byard garnered first-team All-Pro recognition for the third time in his career. He was previously honored as a member of the Titans in 2017 when he tied for the NFL lead with eight interceptions and had 16 pass breakups, and in 2021 when he recorded five interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
This season Byard led the NFL with seven interceptions, helping the Bears top the league with 33 takeaways and 23 interceptions. He also earned Pro Bowl honors for the third time and finished Pro Bowl fan balloting with the fifth-most votes among all NFL players.
Wright was named All-Pro for the first time since being selected by the Bears with the 10thoverall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Thuney and Wright anchored a resurgent offensive line that helped the Bears reduce the number of sacks they permitted from 68 last year to 24 this season, the third fewest in the NFL. The line also was part of an offense that committed the fewest turnovers (11) in the league and was the only unit in the NFL that had two players in D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai both rush for at least 750 yards.
This season marks the first time the Bears had multiple offensive linemen named All-Pro since 1986 when Hall of Fame left tackle Jimbo Covert and center Jay Hilgenberg were honored.
