Aston Villa eye Tammy Abraham to help keep Premier League title challenge alive

Landing him again would be a complicated deal as Abraham is midway through a loan that will be made permanent for £11.2m if certain conditions are met. He is thought to be on a salary worth around £115,000 per week which could also be an obstacle.
But targeting the ex-Chelsea player is a sign of Villa’s intent this season after getting within six points of leaders Arsenal at the halfway stage of the campaign. They are also interested in a deal for Conor Gallagher at Atletico Madrid, if the England midfielder is allowed to leave his Spanish club.
Abraham, who moved to Roma in 2021 and was loaned to AC Milan last season, has a long-term deal with his Italian club and is a rare commodity in the transfer market as a No 9 who could be available for a move.
