COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Five candidates vying to become South Carolina’s next United States Senator met for a debate in Columbia on Monday.

The following candidates participated, listed in alphabetical order:
- Rep. Russell Fry
- Sen. Darline Graham
- Mark Lynch
- Rep. Ralph Norman
- Mark Sanford
The SCGOP said the selections were made using the following criteria:
- Candidates must have filed with the South Carolina State Election Commission and be certified to appear on the ballot by the SCGOP
- Candidates must rank among the top five candidates in an average of polls not paid for by a campaign or connected political action committee or other polls subject to the discretion of the SCGOP
- Poll requirements must be met no later than 72 hours prior to the debate
- A candidate must also be a signatory to the guidelines no less than 48 hours before the debate
The debate is part of a partnership between the SCGOP, as well as WIS and Gray Media.
