Virat Kohli is all set to feature in his first international match for the Indian team in 2026 as the Men in Blue take on New Zealand in the first of their three-match ODI series.
Kohli last played for India in the ODI series against South Africa in December, where he emerged as the highest runscorer and won the Man of the Series award, scoring two hundreds and a half-century.
Following the ODI series, Kohli returned to action in domestic cricket as he played a couple of games for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and scored a ton in one of them.

Kohli will aim to pick up from where he left off against the Proteas and continue with his fine form in the format. Kohli has scored 1657 runs in 33 matches against the Kiwis and is India’s second-highest run scorer after Sachin Tendulkar.
If he manages to score 94 runs in a three-match series, the 37-year-old will surpass Tendulkar and become the highest scorer against New Zealand in the 50-over format.
