US Traitors star Maura Higgins’ broad Irish accent caused a subtitle headache during her debut on the murder mystery show.

She’s now been cast as one of 23 stars in The Traitors U.S., alongside Real Housewives stars and a Friends actor.

And the straight-talking beauty immediately made it clear that she’s nobody’s fool, clashing with actor Michael Rapaport inside the lavish castle in the Scottish Highlands.

In one heated exchange she told him to “please stop talking”, adding with an icy glare: “I think I’ve gone deaf.”

The subtitles didn’t quite understand, enclosing “tink” in quotation marks.

Viewers quickly picked up, with one: “The captions doing Maura’s accent Lmao.”

And they’re siding with her in her beef with Michael. Another viewer said: “US and UK airing at the same time and Maura is on US… life is worth living (they need to kill Michael first).”

Maura and Michael clashed over his ‘aggressive’ antics at the Roundtable as well as Porsha Williams claiming he had been targeting the Real Housewives in the first mission of the series. The idea actually belonged to Maura’s pal Rob.

Despite her desire to kill everyone “one by one”, Maura was made a Faithful by host Alan Cumming, who teased that the new edition will be the most dramatic yet.

She’s gone on to bond with Love Island star Rob Rausch as well as the Real Housewives stars, with some fans desperate for her to step into that luxury world once on-screen in the future.

As expected, fashionista Maura’s wardrobe has been on point, with her khaki green leather jumpsuit and a matching short cloak a hit with viewers.

She had her luscious locks slicked back into a bun and had a soft-glam makeup look on.

Ahead of her debut, Maura told viewers: “Well I’m starting off wearing a cape so… I’m hoping I’m a traitor and I hope to kill everyone one by one.

“If someone comes for me at the roundtable… God love them. ‘Sound’s a bit Traitor-y to me’.”

Maura added: “I speak my mind. I’m not really a shadow kind of girl.”

She bust out laughing and said: “That sounded really devious, didn’t it?”

The former I’m A Celebrity star captioned her post on Instagram: “Do I look like someone you can trust?”

The series is eleven episodes long, including the finale and reunion special – which airs on February 26.

This year’s line-up consists of The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Candiace Dillard Bassett, Love Island US star Rob Rausch, Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Caroline Stanbury from The Real Housewives of Dubai, Colton Underwood from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Porsha Williams.

The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley returns after being unceremoniously eliminated after one day in Season three.

The other competitors include Olympic figure skaters, commentators and besties Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, Top Chef host and former winner Kristen Kish, singer Eric Nam, actors Stephen Colletti, Michael Rapaport, and Ron Funches and Donna Kelce.
