Waite Park Police look into possible ICE action in the city

Minneapolis ICE shooting protest targets agents in hotels
Protesters marched through downtown Minneapolis and gathered outside hotels said to be housing federal agents on Friday, Jan. 9, setting off fireworks, banging pots and more.
At 9:30 a.m. Jan. 10, multiple sources sent the Waite Park Police Department information about a shooting that involved Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents in the City of Waite Park, the department said in a release.
The Waite Park Police Department was able to identify and locate a person related to the case. The case is ongoing, according to the release, but at this time there are no witnesses or evidence that a shooting occurred.
This report comes as individuals across the nation protested ICE, including in Minneapolis. On Jan. 7 an immigration agent shot Renee Nicole Good, 37. Good was at a location where ICE agents were present. According to multiple sources, she was there as part of the protest against ICE agents in Minneapolis.
Although there were no protests in St. Cloud on Saturday, at least 3,000 Minnesotans gathered at 1 p.m. for a scheduled ICE protest at Powderhorn Park in south Minneapolis. Other protests were confirmed across the city.
