Wheatley’s most recent goal for Northampton came against league leaders Cardiff City, before his last appearance came in their final game of 2025, a 2-0 defeat at Lee Grant’s Huddersfield Town.
The forward spent time with Walsall last term and became our 250th Academy graduate in 2024, as one of his four senior outings for the Reds.
