John Harbaugh Has Apparently Received $20 Million Offer From NFL Team

The John Harbaugh sweepstakes might come to an end sooner than everyone thought.
On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Harbaugh is conducting preliminary and extensive phone calls with the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans. The former Baltimore Ravens coach is not expected to meet with all six teams though. That being said, it sounds like the G-Men are a serious threat to land his services.

Giants executive Chris Mara told Ian O’Connor of The Athletic that he had an informal meeting with Harbaugh this past Sunday. Apparently, the Super Bowl champion is “very interested” in their job.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, meanwhile, claims there are rumblings that New York has already made a lucrative offer to Harbaugh.
“The disclosure comes at a time when rumors are swirling that the Giants have already made an unofficial offer to Harbaugh, in the range of $20 million per year,” Florio wrote.

Teaming up with Jaxson Dart?
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Harbaugh has already done some homework on rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. This was before he even spoke to the Giants about their job opening.
“John Harbaugh is spending today and the next few days watching film specifically on quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Cam Ward,” Russini said. “He’s also been in contact with team decision makers, while continuing to communicate with potential members of his own coaching staff.”

Dart had 2,272 passing yards, 487 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns during his rookie season with the Giants. There’s no question he has the potential to be a game-changer for a long time.
All the Giants truly need is a coach to get Dart and this roster on the right track. Time will tell if Harbaugh believes he’s the right guy for the job.
