Much Colder Weather has returned to the Twin Cities Today and the main pattern over the next 2 weeks will favor Colder than average temperatures and anytime it warms up it will likely Snow.
Cold Sunshine Today with Gusty Cold North Winds at 15 to 30 mph producing Wind-Chills all day about -2 Below and actual air temperatures in the upper Teens to Near 20 Degrees. Light Winds Tonight with Cloudy Skies and lows around 8 Degrees with Light Snow possibly Mixed with Light Freezing Drizzle developing around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Cloudy with Light Snow and Patchy Freezing Drizzle from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday in the Twin Cities and any Snow Accumulations just a Coating but Roads could be Slippery during the morning Rush Hour. Cloudy Thursday afternoon with another chance for Mix of Light Snow and Patchy Freezing Drizzle 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday possibly creating Slippery Roads for evening Thursday Rush Hour. Temperatures slowly climbing to near 30 Degrees by 6 p.m. Thursday with Southwest Winds at 10 to 15 mph. Strong Cold Front will be moving through early Friday morning leading to Increasing Northwest Winds at 15 to 30 mph along with falling Light Snow and temperatures in the upper 20s by 6 a.m. Friday.
Friday will start with Light Snow and Gusty Northwest Winds at 15 to 25 mph which may cause some Blowing Snow in open areas leading to Slippery Conditions for the Friday morning commute. Temperatures Friday will be in the upper 20s in the morning then Falling into the mid Teens during the afternoon with morning Wind-Chills in the low Teens and afternoon Wind-Chills near 0. Snowfall around 1″ possible Friday. Friday night will be Cold with Gusty Northwest Winds at 10 to 20 mph and lows around 0 with Wind-Chills by Saturday morning -10 to -20 Below.
Sunny and Very Cold on Saturday with highs near 6 Degrees and afternoon lows around -1 Below with Wind-Chills at -10 to -15 Below by Sunday morning. Cloudy Sunday with Periods of Light Snow – any Snow Accumulations 1″ or less with highs in the Upper Teens then Very Cold Sunday night with Clearing Skies and lows near -7 Below with Wind-Chills -20 to -30 Below and Northwest Winds at 5 to 15 mph.
