An ‘inspiring’ cookbook from health guru Joe Wicks has been slashed to just £8.80 on Amazon.

The Body Coach launched Protein in 15 last month to share ‘quick, delicious protein-packed and unprocessed recipes for the whole family’.

He said Protein in 15 was ‘real food for real people’, and would allow people to create ‘speedy’ meals that were ‘big on flavour’ and made with ‘easy-to-source ingredients’.

Meals in Protein in 15 include a spicy chicken burger, steak burrito, meat-free bolognese or creamy chicken harissa pasta.

Those who prefer less meat will also find chapters on plant-powered meals, while there are also sections for slow-cooked feasts, lunchboxes, and homemade takeaways.

Protein in 15 has a recommended retail price of £22, but Amazon shoppers can pick up the hardcover version for £8.80 in a ‘limited time deal’.

Alternative recipe books include the High Protein Cookbook for Muscle-Gain by Ken Turner, available for £9.09 from Waterstones.

The Myprotein Kitchen: Protein Plates book has also been reduced from £16.99 to £13.60.

However Helen gave Protein in 15 by Joe Wicks a five-star rating on Amazon.

She said: “Great, easy to follow recipes. We’ve only had it a week and have enjoyed three meals from it so far. Very tasty too.”

It was dubbed ‘inspiring’ by another shopper, who said: “I pre ordered this as soon as it was announced as I have all his books!

“However, we don’t eat fish or gluten and this just was not for us. Great ethos and menu selection – for most people it would be a great boost to their health and cooking repertoire, so would definitely recommend.”

Another happy customer said Protein in 15 was full of ‘mouth-watering recipes’, and added: “Enjoying this recipe book by Joe Wicks. Quick easy and nutritional recipes for all the family.”

Lucy wrote: “Have got several of Joe’s recipe books, but this one ticks a lot of boxes.

“Real food, not relying on jars and packets of sauces, with a wide range of accessible healthy ingredients catering for all tastes.

“Includes a number of recipes with pulses and beans, so not just relying on meat as the protein source.

“Examples include a lovely soba noodle edamame salad with a sesame ginger dressing, and roast sweet potato on fajita-spiced lentils with feta, honey and toasted seeds.

“Beautifully presented in a good quality hardback edition with all the relevant info, including alternative slow cooker or air fry methods.”

Matthew said of Protein in 15: “This is a very good book. However, 98 per cent of the meals are for ‘serves 4 people’. Not ideal for a single person like me.”
