AFTER previously opening up about receiving flirty messages from Love Island’s Helena Ford, Sam Thompson has been grilled about the exchange in an awkward moment on today’s This Morning.
The I’m A Celebrity winner, 33, appeared on the show to discuss All Stars, which starts tonight on ITV2 after being postponed because of the wildfires in South Africa.

As he spoke about the cast members, talk soon turned to Helena, who only just shot to fame on last year’s main series.
He told Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: “So we know Helena quite well at Staying Relevant, my podcast, we had her at the 02.
“She made a tweet about me when she was on Love Island last year.”
Cat pressed: “Saying what?,” as he responded: “I’m not going to say what it was.”

After being pushed, he divulged: “It was of a nature,” as Ben asked: “Of a flirty nature?”
Sam confirmed: “It was of a flirty nature.”
Cat then tried to get more information about of him as she inquired: “Did she slide into your DMs?”
Sam nervously started laughing as he attempted to divert the conversation.
He shouted out: “And we’ve got Maya Jama!”
Cat gasped at Sam’s coyness before adding: “Ooh I love this, let’s find out more,” as she pointed at Sam.
However, they swiftly moved onto looking at pictures of the villa in South Africa.
Back in August last year, Sam, who appears on sister show Aftersun, revealed he had met Helena and was shocked by her cheeky, flirty banter.
He said she came at him with some unexpected lines that definitely caught him off guard, proving she’s not just a pretty face but has plenty of personality too.
Fans were desperate to find out if Sam had brought up her unearthed 2017 tweet about him.
The tweet read: “Where do I apply to *** ** Sam Thompson’s face? Asking for a mate.”
Sam confirmed that she brought up the “incident” and said she “took the banter really well.”
He told his best mate Pete: “So basically, Helena sat on the stall and I went over to her and said ‘Hey Helena how are you?’”
“And she goes, we need to speak… I think you know what about. I was like, is it about the incident?”
“And she actually like played on it. And she was like, “Well, the Hideaway is free now.’”
“She took the banter really really well and even gave a little bit back, so fair play to her and can only wish her sort of godspeed on whatever journey that she decides to go on.”
