WINNECONNE (WLUK) – Two of the victims found dead inside a Winneconne home were sisters, who died hours after a divorce proceeding, their mother said.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department said three people were found dead inside a Winneconne home Friday night.
Their names are:
- Lenora Manke (daughter) age 11
- Jaelyn Manke (daughter) age 16
- Jeffrey Manke (father) age 57
In a social media post Monday, Lindsey Dash, the mother of Lenora and Jaelyn – whose profile picture matches that from the GiveSendGo site – thanked people for the support she has received.
I feel everyone’s love around me and I appreciate that. I need all the love I can get because I don’t know how to do this without them. My life revolved around my girls. Every single day. I figured out how to financially survive so I could stay home with my babies everyday to try to give them the best life possible. I’m so sad. Everyone they talked to knew they were not safe in his care. And I fought so hard to try to keep them safe. The family counselor dismissed them and refused to continue working with them. The gal knew they didn’t want to be there. Cps reports were made. Cops were called. I was legally forced to send them when they felt unsafe. Nobody wanted to listen. If someone listened to their cries for help for the last 2 years , they would still be here . The system failed my babies,” she wrote
Online court records show earlier on Friday, a divorce hearing was held between Lindsey Lewandowski and Jeffrey Manke.
“Court grants judgement of divorce, finds the marriage is irretrievably broken with no chance for reconciliation,” court records show.
According to a social media post by Richard’s School of Dance in Oshkosh, Jaelyn and Lenora were dancers at the school.
A GiveSendGo page for Lindsey Lewandowski identifies her as the mother of the two girls. Also, a Meal Train website was established to help the family.
“During this time, Lindsey will be taking a break from her small business as she grieves her beautiful children. We are reaching out to anyone who would like to help support her during this time. Donations will be used for funeral expenses, mortgage, utilities, and day to day living expense while she take the time she needs to process and heal,” the site states.
