Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has made a lucrative career out of Only Fans. Here, she opens up on her venture into the adult-only content site and why she’s still just the ‘girl next door’

TOWIE icon-turned-OnlyFans creator Lauren Goodger has opened up about why she joined the controversial platform – and what she gets out of it
Speaking to Lauren at the launch of Olivia Attwood ’s new ITV2 series Getting Filty Rich – the fourth outing of the franchise, the reality star – who banks some £30k a month from the platform – tells the Mirror that she feels her reasons for joining five years ago are a little different to others.
“I feel like my story is a little bit different from everyone else’s. I just thought it was really interesting and a good opportunity for me to tell everyone why I do it and what I do on it”, she explains.

“And it’s actually not that bad – having only a few hundred fans on there, paying a higher price, I would rather that than thousands of people having access. Because it is only me showing my boobs.”
She adds, “ I’m not being funny, but I’ve been on the front of magazine covers for the last 10 years. Like on Closer mag- I was naked, anyway! They all want me naked. So, what difference does it make? I might as well make money out of it!”
Other OnlyFans creators, such as Kerry Katona, have had a background in the glamour industry – but for Lauren, it’s a whole new world, she says.
“I was – I still am – the girl next door. I’m quite a home girl. OnlyFans tried to get me to dogo on it for two years. So, they actually set it up, wanted me on it, and I was like, I definitely don’t want to do that.
“The situation changed. The money wasn’t the same, what I used to get paid on a photoshoot just wasn’t happening any more. So going into Covid, I thought yeah, I’m going to do OnlyFans.”

But as she reveals, it was a big leap to make, and not something she went into lightly. “I was terrified – I was up from 5.30 in the morning that first day thinking, what have I done? But I did it, and I’ve continued with it.”
Asked if there are any friends and family who disapprove, she admits there’s just one friend who asks her to ‘delete the pics, you don’t need it anymore.’
She explains, “But you can’t do that! If you look at it as a job, and you’ve got that money coming in you can’t just.. delete it. One day I will – but I’m not ready to yet.”
As Lauren explains, there are ‘levels’ to what you ca do on OnlyFans – and her content will always stay on the lighter side of the scale.
“You can go down the porn route, or be quite tame. Mine’s a smaller fanbase, a higher price, and I do less. It’s not going to tarnish anything. Not that it matters.

“Far play to people like Lilly Phillips, she earns like £800k a month. You’ve got to have some guts to do that – I’m all for it. But I’m not that. I just want people to know I’m still that girl from The Only Way Is Essex – but it’s great. I enjoy it, and it makes me feel good. It’s a confidence thing too. It makes me feel sexy”
“Listen, I used to post loads of pictures on Instagram and videos that were quite sexy anyway, so I might as well do it on OnlyFans!”
When she meets Olivia Attwood on the ITV2 show, she tells her: “I’ve been offered 150 grand for the night, that’s another whole world. Never. Not being wrong, it’s hard to turn down but I couldn’t. I can’t even sleep with a guy in real life.”
Lauren revealed she does offer custom requests, however, to the tune of £6,500.
