The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Sean McDermott, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.
The Bills lost 33-30 to the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional round.
McDermott leaves Buffalo with a 98-50 record in his nine seasons as head coach, but he was 8-8 in the postseason and never reached the Super Bowl.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane is being retained, a source told ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg. He will help lead the team’s search for a new coach.
