Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman at K’gari this morning, 19 January.
About 6.35am, police were called to the beach, north of Maheno Wreck, to reports a woman was located unresponsive.
The 19-year-old woman was declared deceased a short time later.
Initial information indicates, the woman may have gone for a swim around 5am.
A crime scene has been established, with investigations ongoing into the circumstance.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information, including dash cam vision or witnessed anything to come forward.
There is no further information at this time.
